Casting season | Pastor Deborah Mutana.
Harvest is about casting. Cast your bread, time, energy, monies, and the things dear to you to obtain the harvest.
Casting requires us to have hope, faith, and a firm belief that God is in charge. What then should we cast for this season? We tend to relax after praying and fasting, but we must remember that this is our year of harvest. We are required to stay vigilant, have faith, and hold onto hope. No farmer ever plants in their soil and reaps in the next day or two. There's a procedure that takes time.
What is the opposite of casting? Withholding. I recall a time in Kenya when maize flour was so scarce that even those who had it resisted selling it so that the prices may go high. But, the Bible forbids us from holding back. Luke 12:16–21 (Jesus was talking about the rich man. verse 21. so is he who lays up treasure for himself and is not rich toward God)
We are currently living in a sowing season. According to the Bible, if we scatter our bread over many waters, we will reap and have more after a while. Consequently, you must preserve and save to have more bread. Solomon; in his understanding of God's workings, however, cautions us that if we consider safety as the only option, we will acquire nothing, and if we view risk as the alternative, we will have more.
It is a tough season; not just for you, many people are finding it hard this season it is all over. It is safe to keep the things we treasure. There is a need for us to save. Yes, it is important to save but the Bible says where your treasure is there your heart will be.
Isaiah 32: 20 "the Lord will greatly bless his people. Wherever they plant seed, bountiful crops will spring up. Their cattle and donkeys will graze freely."
This season is the time to prepare the ground. This is a time for us to prepare, whatever Ground God has positioned you, prepare because the showers are coming. It will be very sad for the showers to come and sweep the blessing right before your eyes.
