Description

Here at Consider the Ravens, we believe that discipleship happens and should happen within the context of the local church, we also believe that the main way that discipleship has been bolstered throughout Church History has been through literature. Whether fiction or non-fiction, short epistles to huge four-volume tomes of systematic theology, we'll be looking at it all.

This week, we chat through Hymns Of Note: Stories, Inspiration & Devotionals, by William Long.

“Hymns Of Note is a collection of devotionals, which look at the stories and meanings behind twenty-nine hymns that have connected people with God for hundreds of years.

This collection draws upon the lives of the authors, the lyrics of their hymns, and their biblical connections to inspire you, encourage you, and to equip you with words to worship God, which have been sung for generations. Each devotional features the lyrics of the hymn in full, a piece of scripture, and a short devotional, which explores the life of the hymnist, the meaning of the hymn, and how it relates to our modern lives.”
