Liver cirrhosis is when the liver is damaged by conditions like chronic alcohol use, hepatitis B or C. Cirrhosis is the scarring of the liver. The damage done to the liver by these conditions can not be undone, but if it is detected early, there's a good chance of slowing the damage with treatments.
In this episode, we talk about liver cirrhosis and how it affects our bodies. We will also discuss the complications of cirrhosis, its signs and symptoms, as well as the medical management that we can do to help patients with this condition. If this kind of topic is within your alley, grab a seat, pour your favorite coffee and join us in another educational episode of Cup of Nurses!
