Everyone will face criticism at some point in their lives. If delivered and taken in the right way, constructive criticism can be a gift. Constructive criticism can be a helpful mechanism by which we can fill the gaps in our knowledge, skills and experience – to help us learn, grow and improve.
Proverbs 15:31-33 says, “Whoever heeds life-giving correction will be at home among the wise. Those who disregard discipline despise themselves, but the one who heeds correction gains understanding. Wisdom’s instruction is to fear the Lord, and humility comes before honor.”
"If there is truth or merit in the criticism, try to learn from it. Otherwise, let it roll right off you." - Hillary Rodham Clinton
1 Corinthians 13:4-8 says, "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away."
