The purpose of confessing God's Word over our situation is to convince the humanistic part of ourselves that our promise is already done. Our spirit may believe it's done, but our flesh frequently needs convincing. Hebrews 11:1 says, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."
