Hillary, a full-time work from home pregnant mom of soon-to-be 3 boys, a wife, entrepreneur and lover of personal development never considered herself an alcoholic but many of the events from her personal journey have led her to think quite differently about her relationship with alcohol now.
Processing the role alcohol played from her childhood and past trauma was the beginning. Hillary found herself in toxic friend groups and communities that spotlight “mommy needs wine” and the “hot mess mom” lifestyle. She realized that her relationship with alcohol either revolved around reducing stress or feeling as if she could “let loose” and be less of herself in certain situations – in an effort to be “more fun.” It just didn’t add up. And Hillary is excited to share some of her methods for overcoming many of these scary social norms.
Hillary is the biggest cheerleader of the Together SOBER Podcast. She believes the show is incredibly real and raw and appreciates the perspective and information she has gained as a listener. She believes in the Together S.O.B.E.R. mission and is here to contribute to the massive wave of change for addicts and for what recovery looks like and how to talk openly about it.
