Today we are excited to welcome Chris Adlam, who came to the Applegate in 2021 as the Regional Fire Specialist at OSU Extension Center. He works with communities in southwest Oregon to learn how we can live with fire. This includes figuring out ways we can come together to make decisions about our cherished landscapes, learn about fire’s role in ecosystems, and increase our use of prescribed burns. Chris is also committed to learning from Indigenous people about these issues and to support them in their own use of fire to manage their homelands. In his free time he is passionate about botany, birdwatching, and woodworking.
