Part of Story Writing is accepting the fact that the idea you came up with initially won't exactly turn out that way and that's what makes this process interesting. Because these stories keep evolving, changing, and getting better. So it can be something personal or fictional that's evolving and it can come out from a diary or something very dear to you. Make your changes and voila! You have a story!
