Lack of True Knowledge, Part 5: Survive the Shaking

David W Palmer

God has made his true knowledge available; we need the foundation of our life to be made 100% from it, or it will crumble in this next season of shaking.

8. Lack of True Knowledge Can Come from False knowledge

(1 Timothy 6:20 NKJV) “O Timothy! Guard what was committed to your trust, avoiding the profane and idle babblings and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge.”

Obtaining false knowledge is just as dangerous as a lack of true knowledge; it leads to all the same things. So we must ensure that we learn true knowledge from God, not fake or false knowledge from any other source. Jesus explained how to ensure that what we are learning, and basing our life upon, is true knowledge. In John 7:17, he said that being obedient to the will of God was the key to learning and understanding things from God:

(John 7:17 NKJV) “If anyone wants to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on my own authority.”

Those who are proud, who rebel against God and his authority, will eventually be led into deception. This happens through following the wrong spirit, the spirit of rebellion. Rebellion is the enemy’s spirit, and he is “the deceiver”; anyone who follows and submits to the enemy will end in deception. There is absolutely no doubt about that. This deception is insidious and very powerful; it is in the spirit realm, a far greater realm than human intellect and reasoning. The spirit of deception cannot be defeated by human intellect alone; revelation and enlightenment from God is needed to eclipse it.

We should avoid deception at all costs. Therefore, remaining humble, submissive to God, and obedient to his word is indispensable. This way, we will be open to revelation of true knowledge from the Holy Spirit; and we will not fall into the deception that following the spirit of rebellion brings.

In truth, we are moving into another season of shaking right now. God has warned that prior to Jesus’s return, he will shake everything (Heb. 12:25–27). Right now, he is shaking his house to see where the foundations are strong—that is, where it is founded 100% upon his word—and where they are weak. Where false knowledge, man’s ideas, and worldly wisdom are in the foundations of a life or church, the cracks will shortly begin to show.

The apostle Paul prophesied of our times:

(2 Timothy 3:1–7 NKJV)

Most of this is old news for our generation, but note particularly verse 7: “always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.” This is where God is currently focusing the shaking, so this is why the lack of true knowledge is beginning to show. Where there is a faulty foundation—caused by the “false knowledge”—if not fixed quickly, it will cause the downfall of a life, ministry, church, political system, or nation in the severe shaking that is beginning now:

(Matthew 7:24–27 DKJV)

(1 Timothy 6:20 NKJV)

Today, to prepare to withstand the shaking, I encourage you to jettison any false, worldly, humanistic knowledge and any rebellion to God’s word—dig it completely out of the foundation of your life—and replace it with God’s true knowledge and submission to him. Keep your eyes centred on Jesus, the “author and perfecter of your faith.” He after all is the Living Word of God, the rock foundation, the true guide, and our only savior:
