In this episode, we will explore the wild world of the talented Monique Impagliazzo. She has worked as an executive assistant, production manager, and art department coordinator, to writing, producing, and directing her first short film Turkey’s Done, starring Cheri Oteri and Al Sapienza.
Monique Impagliazzo was born and raised in South Philadelphia, PA. She graduated from Temple University with a BA in Film and Media Arts. Fresh out of college, she worked at the Mary Anne Claro Talent Agency. Mary Anne Claro referred Monique to Producer Diane Kirman and Executive Producer James Brolin for the children's feature film musical, Standing Ovation. Monique signed onto the production as an Associate Producer. Kirman then referred Monique to Barwood Films, and she was hired as Barbara Streisand's Executive Assistant. After Barwood, Monique went to work for Producer Wendy Cox of History Making Productions and became the Production Supervisor for the Documentary Series Philadelphia: The Great Experiment. There she would also Co-Produce the Documentary; Women in Freedom. Soon after, she was hired as the Production Coordinator on Cheri Oteri's Pilot Presentation, The HOA, James Wahlberg's short film, If Only, and the Art Coordinator on Quibi's Murder House Flip. Monique's latest project, Turkey's Done, stars SNL's Cheri Oteri. The film is also Executive Produced by Ms. Oteri. Monique was one of the directors, writers, and producers on the project, which went on to win awards from various film festivals, including; Best Actress Cheri Oteri-Burbank Film Festival, Best First Time Director-Philadelphia Independent Film Festival, Best Comedy Women's Film Festival in Philadelphia and Best Comedy-The Golden Door Film Festival in Jersey City.
