A student asked for 3 Moral Rules To Live By. The following are my thoughts

Transcript:

Good morning, defenders. Happy Monday. I am so excited to be back in your earbuds back in your stereo radio. However it is that you listen, whatever speakers you use. Thank you so much for making me a part of your week. And I am, I'm so excited to be back. Uh, it's been about four months since the last defender's digest episode went live. And so while I'd like to do our routine of starting off our Monday mornings with a devotional motivational looking up towards God, um, I also wanna let you guys know a little bit about what's going on inside the defender's academy and the shifts that have been happening and that will continue to be happening. So what I, I think I'd like to do first is give you guys a little, um, update on what has been happening. And so the reason that the defender's digest podcast has not been airing is quite simply because I have been putting all of my time and all of my energy into writing, uh, my, my new book, um, the, from the classroom to the cross, it's a book on apologetics and theology, and it's meant to be read by students. It's meant for students who are from like maybe older high school students to college age students, and to give the answers to the questions that the church is just not answering, whether it's because the pastors on staff don't know the answer, or whether it's that they're just giving unsatisfactory answers or whether they're too dug into theology. Um, those are the kinds of questions that we are going through in that book. And I've been spending all of my time focused on writing that book and working a full-time job, you know, uh, teaching at the private Christian school that I teach at. And those combination of things, priorities just took my time to where I didn't have time to pour into the podcast the way that I'd like to. And that actually leads to some cool transitions that I'm excited to share with you guys. Uh, but I'm gonna hold that off for the end of the episode for the updates on what's happening next. Uh, what I'd like to do right now is to let you know that, um, we're back and you can, at the very least know that the defender's digest is going live on Monday morning. Uh, what I wanna share with you guys today is, uh, conversation that I had with one of my students on one of the last days of school, the student asked me, uh, for they, they literally asked me for parting words of wisdom, where they said, uh, you know, Mr. Tracy, what's, uh, what do you do? You have like a couple like two or three, like moral absolutes and moral truths that, that you think are good advice and vice and the, so I'm gonna share with you guys what I shared with that student. Um, and then a later reflection that I had that even made it stronger and sharper than I had already realized. Good morning, defenders. Happy Monday. I am so excited to be back in your earbuds back in your stereo radio. However it is that you listen, whatever speakers you use. Thank you so much for making me a part of your week.
