When we feel the pain in our body, we try to treat that particular part, not the surrounding.
Physical pain is the sign of something wrong in the body; that is why we treat our body, not try to fix the environment.
But when we go through mental pains, we try to fix our surroundings because we do not want to believe that something is wrong with us.
We even try to avoid discussing it with others because of the stigma associated with Mental Health.
When we experience the mental pain aroused by our emotions, we try to escape from the pain by blaming others or circumstances.
Mental pain needs to be treated just like any physical pain needs to be treated.
So, when you experience depression or have intense emotions causing mental pain, never be afraid to seek help.
Seeking help is not a sign of weakness.
“You have power over your mind, not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength.” – Marcus Aurelius.
In this episode, Rachel Beck and I will be discussing the importance of Mental Health in Personal and Professional Life.
