Jesus was the cousin of John the Baptist. For John, baptism signified a turning from sin and turning to God. Why do you think that John the Baptist was uncomfortable baptizing Jesus? Why did Jesus insist on the baptism? How did God the Father show His pleasure? How does God show His pleasure to us when we obey Him today?
