About Connor:
Connor Lawrence is the cofounder & COO of indify, the investment marketplace for independent music, a platform that gives emerging artists with traction the ability to raise funding from strategic investors in a fair and equitable way.
In 2015, when he was still a college student, Lawrence helped develop the first iteration of the company, which began as an industry-leading artist discovery tool used by major labels like Atlantic, Interscope, RCA and more to identify rapidly-breaking artists in the new quick-moving digital landscape. Lawrence oversaw the creation and distribution of the service’s editorial newsletter, which showcased major artists like Khalid, Billie Eilish, and Post Malone long before they reached the mainstream. At its peak, newsletter subscribers included over 10,000 senior-level music industry executives and decision-makers.
Over the past seven years, the cofounders have evolved the indify product into the investment marketplace tool it is now, with Lawrence leading the company's internal operations and strategy and helping independent artists secure over $2.5M in funding and driving over 1.8B streams – providing options and creating long term careers for independent artists around the world.
In 2020, Lawrence was honored as one of Rolling Stone's “Future 25,” the annual list showcasing the next generation of music industry innovators who are pushing the business forward.
