Jose Manuel works for one of 24 Regional English Language Offices (RELO) of the U.S. State Department. RELOs offer professional development opportunities for English teaching professionals and provide free downloadable materials; Jose Manuel manages the online programs and all that this entails. This position allows him to interact with many different people, learn about other cultures, become involved in interesting projects and most importantly achieve a sense of fulfillment knowing that he is advancing English language learning in his region. He offers many encouraging remarks to learners and stresses, "Look at what you can do and not at what you can't."
