Description

Miriam was the caregiver of her father who had Alzheimer's disease. One day when at a shopping mall, he got lost. While the situation turned out well, it was a frightening situation for Miriam. Not wanting to have this experience repeated, Miriam created an ID bracelet, which included contacts and medical conditions. She recognized the value of a person wearing information about their medical needs and began creating ID bracelets for others. The bracelets are connected to a database which contains the medical history of the person. Currently the hospitals in Mexico do not have a central data base. CuidaMED provides essential and critical information that is accessible for medical professionals when treating the patient. Her timely business has been receiving notice and recognition. She received the 2022 Women Entrepreneur award for Women Champion in Digital Health and the Caribbean. In an international technology fair in Taiwan, her project was selected to represent Mexico. Locally she won Reto Tabasco Emprende in 2019.
