On today's episode of Empowered in Health, we talk fitness in perimenopause and the changes to consider when it comes to training and training well. Gone are the days of going all out all the time, hitting it hard in a fasted state and forgetting to listen to our bodies. Learning to rest and get intentional with the "HOW" to training needs to be the main focus as our health evolves over time.
From looking at pace, rest, range of motion, lifting heavier and listening to your body - there are some crucial necessities to evolve into as we age as women. As someone who grew up a female athlete, there's been quite a bit I've had to learn and unlearn over time.
