Life has broken me a lot. But as of late - it's broken me down to my core. The littlest things can send me into negative spirals. The overwhelm can become so intense, I don't want to get out of bed. And while I don't know exactly what I need, I won't stop trying to find solutions, resources, help and support in order to empower me through to the other side of this broken state.
Even in the broken - I'm working to focus on finding the joy. Reminiscing on good memories, finding the quiet, breathing, using my creative muscle, watching consumption and embracing that feelings co-exist. Lean harder into SIMPLE things - more than ever before. Adjust expectations - more than ever before. It's absolutely okay that things are different than you imagined.
I want you to know that being human is HARD. And being a mom is HARD. The things we experience and the feelings we have are real. They're heavy, they're intense and the journey of trying to process it all takes time. Please know you are never alone when it comes to the up and down of life. We all go through heavy seasons. I'm in one right now. But let this be your reminder to seek the help and support you need. It's okay to say "I'm not okay" and lean into others. And it's okay to give yourself immense amounts of grace for the process.
