The further I dive into gut health, the more I'm learning about the mind-gut connection and how our wellness is all intertwined. As someone who faces mental health struggles related to anxiety and depression, it's become glaringly clear that my symptoms feel heavier and harder to manage when I'm not paying attention to my overall health needs from the inside out.
After working with my functional doctor over the past 5+ months, root cause has been the main thing we are working to uncover together. While watching foods I consume and cutting out potential autoimmune triggers, there's still a deeper level of healing that I know needs to take place in my body. I can feel it! And my goodness - is the process long, uncomfortable and takes an insane amount of added patience.
But here's the thing. Our overall health and wellness is worth that level of committed, diligent advocacy. Feeling our best is worth the effort - no matter what it takes or how long the road goes. As I continue to learn - I will continue to share. I'd love to hear from you too and connect further on our stories.
