On today's episode of The Momlife Mindset Podcast - I'm sharing more about the "after feeling" and how making decisions based on pausing and remember how we feel AFTER we make choices can be an incredible mindset shift.
With 2023 off to the races - I've found myself working hard on shifting habits and evaluating how different choices make me feel in my body and my brain. So often, we can get caught in the "NOW" feelings - overwhelm, anxiety, information overload, paralyzed and not sure how to put one foot in front of the other. Or sometimes we get caught in the instant gratification/immediate satisfaction mindset and don't take the time to really think about how choices will affect us. It can leave us completely stuck in our thoughts and our circumstances.
My challenge for all of us is to PAUSE a little more and think a little harder on how the choices we make NOW will ultimately make us feel in the future...
How we're fueling our body and our food choices.
How we show up to move our body and how that affects our brain.
How we choose to show up online, add value, consume, connect with others.
How we prioritize intentional relationships over brainless activities.
And so much more...
In the end - it's so important to remember that we have the power! We can change our mindset and dig harder into remembering what makes us feel great and what feeds our insecurity and our down moments. Knowledge is POWER. Don't be afraid to take messy action and take note of the choices that really help you feel your best.
