On today's episode of The Momlife Mindset Podcast, I share a few of the harder, bigger lessons I've learned on my personal mental health journey. I believe that mental health is health. It's truly the most pivotal thing we can talk about and nurture on our health journey because without mental health, healthy doesn't exist.
I've had some darker days along my journey - especially as I've transitioned into motherhood. I've learned the hard way that habits, lifestyle choices, boundaries and ownership matter if we want to nurture our mental well-being. That showing up for the rest of the world, but falling apart at home isn't okay and it isn't healthy. That talking about mental health and the reality of it doesn't mean it's too dark or too serious or too negative or too deep. It means we're normalizing that mental health and emotional turmoil are a REAL part of life...and sharing our truth, going deep on our stories and talking more about our experience allows all of us to feel less alone.
