Non-profit newsroom Verite reports that 42-year-old Ernesto Rocha-Cuadra died in ICE custody on June 23, 2023. He was being detained at a facility in Central Louisiana after crossing the boarder, pleading for asylum.
ICE says Ernesto died in the hospital after a heart attack but his brother, Francisco, believes there is more to his death than what is being said.
