Born in 1954, Sriram Panda entered the Odia film industry when he was just 18, and within a few years he not just made his mark as a hero but attained superstardom. He acted with all the leading actors/actresses of the time and to name just a few, Prashanta Nanda, Bijay Mohanty, Uttam Mohanty, Mahasweta Roy, Tandra Ray, Aparajita Mohanty, Banaja Mohanty, his wife Tripura Misra and many others.
