Coffee and Cookies Morning Show with Nick Gartside and Lindsay Smith.

Nick's got ringing in his ears... Dad trying to help mom out and his daughter wasn't having it! 🙉😨 Now, Nick's wife is not allowed to nap on the couch...in sight of the baby 🤣

A recent conversation brings up the question...do "absent" parents have the right to discipline their kids? It isn't about not getting involved in their lives...we encourage and applaud parents wanting to get involved with their kids lives. It is more about the steps to take to start building that relationship. Absent parents shouldn't step into that relationship as the disciplinarian right off the bat. Build the relationship...build know, like, and trust and then start establishing the parental role back in.

We see this in business too, do you? Have you ever had a new boss come into the picture and flipped the company on its head without setting expectations, observing how things are currently done or taking the time to get to know the employees? There are so many stories where it has gone down the 🚽 faster than it took to hire them into the position. Start with some relationship building and growing know, like, and trust.
