In this week's episode, Jolie speaks with Emily Schmitz and Jordon Egbert, undergraduate students in BGSU’s dietetics program, about their work to bridge the food insecurity gap in Luckey, Ohio. They discuss the role of the Luckey Community Garden and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on food insecurity. Their project was supported by the Center for Undergraduate Research and Scholarship at BGSU.
The Center for Undergraduate Research and Scholarship provides funding for undergraduate students to pursue research, scholarly, or creative projects with a faculty mentor in their chosen discipline.
