Lut gaya chamam mera to mujh men kya kamaal tha
Hisaab musht e khaak se yeh bhi kya sawaal tha
Kya kho gaya, kya lut gaya, fehrist apni tu dikha
Kuchh nahin se pursish kaisi, yeh bhi kya wabaal tha
Nasheb o faraaz dekh kar zeest bani humraah meri
Samhja zeest ko jab main ne phir na kabhi be haal tha
Ajnabi o anjaan tha, khush qismat main insan tha
Takabber mujh men tha nahin khuzu ka isteqbaal tha
Faani zeest ke marte dum tak azal ka ehtimaal tha
