Qafas ho udaas to batao bulbul ka hoga kya
Chali jaaye woh chhord kar to mehfil ka hoga kya
Qaatil ho aashiq gar nasoori ka woh be taab
Charahgar phir bata, zakhm mundamil ka hoga kya
Naaseh, haal e dil ka zikr ab karun bhi to kya
Aaj ki khabar to hai nahin ab mustaqbil ka hoga kya
Khushiyan kar deen hum ne jaanam jab sab tere naam
Dekh kar num chashm tujhe us muntaqil ka hoga kya
‘Sahil’, salamat to aaj dunya men hai shai nahin koi
Tum na main na qudrat phir is aab o gil ka hoga kya
