Safar to safar hai ‘sahil’ koi mausam ka bayaan nahin
Jaise sehar naam subh ka hai, aftab ka ayaan nahin
Sach kitna hai daleelon mein yeh to daleelen hi jaanen
Sabooton ka bharosa kya, woh sach ka bayaan nahin
Zabt e sukhan hai aqlmandi, posheeda us men sukoon
Khamosh rehnewala naaseh, becharah, be zubaan nahin
Daaman pe daagh, chaak girebaan yeh to mohavarey hain
Ghurbat ke alamaat be shak, ruswayi ke nishaan nahin
Mandir masjid aur kalisey men jaane se kya hota hai
Bhooley jo insaniyat ko, woh shakhs to phir insan nahin
Sar jhuka kar chalo yaro ibadat bhi khud ho jayegi
Kaakh o gulzaar ka maalik honey men to koi shaan nahin
Chaman men gul o khaar hain, dil bhi ek gulsitaan hai
Gar khud na chaahe dhadakta dil to woh bayabaan nahin
