Katie Wyatt is living her best life and has landed her dream job. Last summer, Wyatt was named exectuive director of the Weymouth Center for the Arts & Humanities in Southern Pines, NC. The daughter of Army parents and raised in the Washington, DC area, Wyatt found at an early age that music presented a great opportunity to communicate among diverse races and cultures. Music, arts and culture is the foundation of a life where she has experienced being a professional musician, educator, innovator and an agent for social change. In her role at the Weymouth Center, Wyatt has big dreams, a vision and a plan for a place entering its second century. The Weymouth Center is home of the James Boyd House and the North Carolina Literary Hall of Fame. They host a writers in residence program and Wyatt has already created new experiences in her first year as executive director. One of the programs is called Weymouth Wonderfull 100 which will showcase 100 events in the 100th year of the Center.
