Hello there. Looking to find a podcast to comfort you about the state of the future? I'm sorry, I'm afraid I can't do that.
Because this week, we're talking about one thing! Evil AI and how it's entering into our lives every day. Whether you are dealing with an argumentative chatbot online or making your own microwave oven with the desire to end you, AI is in increasingly in our lives every day. We look at the implication of that technology by visiting with one of films greatest villains and most prominent AIs: HAL 9000.
That's right, this week we're going all in on 2001: A Space Odyssey, Stanley Kubrick's sci-fi masterwork. We briefly cover the beginning and end of the film, but we spend most of our time with that nefarious AI and dig into what it tells us about ourselves and our future.
