The United States government just asked us to save the world. Or at least to podcast! This week, NASA successfully completed their DART mission, which tested the ability of the agency to launch a spacecraft that could knock a threatening asteroid off its course, thereby saving the Earth from imminent doom. That's right, this week we dive into the Michael Bay/Jerry Bruckheimer film Armageddon, starring Bruce Willis, Ben Affleck, Billy Bob Thorton, Liv Tyler, and really every character actor from the 90's. Oh yeah, and also a space rock the size of Texas. We'll learn how ridiculous the science of the movie was, what Bay thought of NASA's interior design, and how much the production paid to replace Ben Affleck's teeth. Buckle up, because United States astronauts train for years. You have twelve days.
