Hansel and Gretel was first published by the German writers Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm (The Brothers Grimm) in 1812. This version of the classic fable, Hansel and Gretel was adapted by Jane Jerrard. The story is about a poor woodcutter, his mean wife, his son and daughter, and a wicked witch.
