Today's episode is extremely powerful.

Lately, I’ve been feeling off, out of alignment, and not quite myself. So I did the things that always help like practicing gratitude, meditating, journaling, and doing the internal work of soul-searching to see what the heck is going on. As I was doing this I stumbled upon a journal entry from a few months back which stopped me in my tracks, and I knew I had to share it with you.

Part of the internal work I do includes re-programming my subconscious to get rid of any blocks that I’ve developed throughout my life that are preventing me from getting to where I desire to be in life. This is a constant practice by the way, and definitely not a one-and-done. In doing this work a few months back I decided to get brutally honest with myself and identify the stories I was telling myself. The lies that I picked up (whether consciously or unconsciously) about how the world works. About my limits.

As I looked through this list today, I was able to group these stories into 4 categories. I know I am not the only one who has these stories instilled in them from childhood reality or unspoken laws, and so I am sharing these with you today despite the inevitable vulnerability hangover of tomorrow because I know that some of you need to hear this.

So here they are – the lies my body and brain believed based on what other people said was true and what was sometimes modeled for me. Things that were ingrained into my subconscious from childhood without me even realizing. And by taking the time to shine a light on them, bring them out from the shadows, and acknowledge them, I was able to lessen their hold on me. To break some old patterns of thinking... and I have seen quantum shifts forward in my personal life and my business since having done this exercise.
