The newborn years of mother hood are hard, and also wonderful. Let's talk about some of the things that can help us stay grounded as we go through parenting that can help at any stage of motherhood. Being aware of your feelings and your needs before it goes too long can be really helpful as a self compassionate mom. Recognizing your divine femininity that is already there to help you know what you need can be a helpful parenting tool. Writing, talking and expressing your thoughts and feelings to someone you trust or in your own notebook can be helpful as well! And always, be aware and touch base with your doctor even if you don't think mental health challenges will affect you. Postpartum depression, anxiety and OCD are so real and often so ignored because we think we can just handle it on our own or figure it'll get better someday. Get the help.
