One of the worst things that you can do in a relationship, is to make the person you love believe that they're not attractive, or that no one besides you could ever find them attractive.
Now I understand that you may think that it's a good way to protect the relationship, by controlling the other person to guarantee not losing them. But here's the thing, by making them believe that they lack the ability to attract others, you are making them believe that they lack value; that they are less than, that they are worthless. Once they believe that, they become your slave, for a while. Until the day they wake up, and realize that you've been lying to them this whole time, and that you've betrayed their trust. When that happens, the resentment they will feel from what you have done will either poison the relationship you were trying to protect, or destroy the relationship you were trying to save.
