Our guest this week Damion Christy and Josh Barber started their team, RKB Paranormal, in June of 2020 after an investigation at Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary with a few friends. But that wasn't the beginning of their journey. The paranormal had been something running through their veins since they were kids. Best friends for 30 years they've shared their common interest in the paranormal since they were teenagers. Instead of partying on the weekends you'd usually find them, along with their other best friend Keith, in a cemetery or an abandoned house they heard was haunted and they were exploring and investigating. As they got older starting an actual paranormal investigation team was something the 3 talked about regularly. Wanting to travel and explore all these different haunted locations was something that interested them all equally. In June 2011 Keith, who was a police officer in thier hometown of Dickson, TN, was shot in killed in the line of duty. At that point starting a team came to a sudden smd unexpected halt. But the paranormal still fascinated Josh and Damion and they still wanted to start a team, not only for themselves but for Keith. It took some time but after what they experienced in the dark hallways and cells of Brushy Mountain they decided it was time. And to honor their fallen friend they used his initials and they became RKB Paranormal and now, in a sense, he is always with them during investigations.
