In the final sermon of our summer series, we looked back to the Old Testament for the arc of justice that continued from the beginning all the way to and through Jesus. The gospel of Micah reminds us to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with our God in the same way that we seek to follow the life, love, and justice of Jesus. Jesus’ life was characterized by justice rooted in love. His was an unhurried, purposeful life with a boundless love acted out in shrewd and sustainable justice.
