God doesn't give up on us and seeks us in life as well as in death. Jesus seeks us in the beginning, in the middle, and at the end. In this resurrection encounter, Jesus walks through walls to get to our hearts. He extends a benediction of peace. He asks curious questions about our doubts and fears. And funny, he invites us to eat a meal in his presence while doing so. Jesus offers his peace, his presence over a piece of fish! Presence is power. Presence precedes resurrection power.
