I do not understand the parable of the wedding feast told by Jesus regarding the man who came to the wedding feast without the wedding garment and was cast out. The man accepted the invitation of the host i.e. he was like Christians who have accepted Chris t but without the righteousness of Chris t. But what I don't understand is what do I have to do to have the righteousness of Chris t? I am a Christian and I am quite fearful that I might fall in the same bracket as the man in the parable. Because I have been told that salvation is a gift from God and we only have to accept it to be saved, but in this parable it seems it is not enough just to accept but must have righteousness which I am unsure what it is.
