Today's episode is short, sweet, and to the point.
As many of you may know, a lot of the time that I spend not making podcast episodes, I spend watching them.
I was just watching a show with Dave Ramsey on and he gave this analogy that I thought was pretty good so I decided to come on and share it myself. What he was saying was along the lines of "if you expect to get corn, then you need to plan corn."
Basically, if you have some sort of expected result, there is an action that you actually need to take in order to get that result. Now people expect too much for doing absolutely nothing... and this mostly pertains to money.
So many people have this expected result of getting money... when they aren't doing anything to get it. The money is just like the corn, if you want it, you'll have to do what it takes to get it.
With corn, it's planting it, working in the fields, turning the land over in the sun, there's work. With money, it's finding something you're good at. Finding something that you can offer the world. Find solutions to problems. Then offer your solutions to the world.
If you're not getting what you think you deserve.. it's probably because you're not doing anything to get it.
