Description

The nature of Florida's lakes and landscapes creates a welcoming environment for invasive species. In this episode of Working In The Weeds, center director Dr. Jay Ferrell and education and training specialist Christine Krebs discuss how Florida lakes are created, what makes a lake "healthy," and what makes Florida's environment prone to invasive species.

Working In The Weeds is a podcast by the University of Florida/IFAS Center for Aquatics and Invasive Plants. This series will connect scientists with stakeholders to clarify and discuss issues surrounding aquatic and invasive plants, while also highlighting the research being conducted at the Center.
