Here’s your permission: Give God your complaints. Bend God’s ear. God can take it. Tell God about all the gossips and jerks, the cheaters and the bullies. Ask for God to be your invisibility cloak, your shield, as you’re trying to do good things in a crossfire as you’re trying to bring healing in a war zone. Keep doing your good and trust that being a jerk won’t pay off in the end. Pray that God will give people more examples of this truth as a wake-up call.
