Description

Mitch asks Mike about his first weeks of marriage. They move on to briefly discuss the midterm elections, moving on to discuss the mildly controversial issues of mail-in voting and voter ID laws. This leads them to discuss how efficient the DMV has become. Mitch, having recently moved to North Carolina, introduces a new segment called "Carolina Word of the Day." This leads them to discussing the joy, as kids, that came from screwing around with substitute teachers. They then begin discussing different English dialects around the world and their experiences in dealing with trying to understand said dialects. Mike, as always, brings up a strange experience he had at the grocery store. This leads to them discussing the concept of public confrontations with strangers, including sports fans getting into physical fights. They then pivot and discuss the logical fallacy that is the False Dilemma/False Dichotomy and how it applies from common arguments to larger political discussions. Mike brings up his recent Friendsgiving and how the turkey took longer than he would have liked. They finish off the episode by paying their respects to Jason David Frank, who passed away this past week.
