Today We Talk About:
- Opening our Business in October 2019
- Income was based on Bridal Makeup + Commercial Makeup + Skincare Studio
- Pandemic Hits March 2020 - and we lose all of our bridal and commercial makeup
- We weren't able to do services so switching focusing on what we can control- retail sales
- We sold about $4k of retail in 3 weeks that we had on hand by doing shipping and actual doorstep deliveries (Mel made the bundles and Emily create the online campaigns on instagram)
- This created one of our biggest things that we do now- drop ship orders to clients
- We also started doing virtual skincare consults which also increased credibility and retail sales
- Summer of 2020 -Back in studio after re-opening and handling overwhelming cancellations, society unrest of curfews, wedding Makeup and commercial makeup were gone- our only focus was the Skincare Studio; which helped propel our business to be more successful
- Shift was focusing on the skincare studio and letting go of Makeup was a huge change of direction for us
- Year of 2021 - Outgrowing our space, moving into a larger space with two studios, filling our books full with appointments, spreading our income between services and retail, and bringing on new treatments and skincare lines.
- Being able to adapt, not being scared of change, investing in yourself through education
