Today we are talking all about the HALT method. The HALT method is an acronym that you can use to keep from heading into what is known as the emotional danger zone. HALT stands for hunger, anger, lonely, tired, and can occasionally have an O in there, which stands for overwhelmed. When we are feeling emotionally off balance, it's important to stop and consider what steps we need to take to regulate our emotions. Here are a few simple steps you can follow:

Step 1: Awareness - be in tune with yourself and how you are feeling.

Step 2: Scan yourself in the HALT method - What are you missing that might make you feel off?

Step 3: Figure out your needs - What do you need to adjust to have your needs met?

Step 4: Set up a routine - Maybe that includes exercising, meal prepping, boundaries, communication, etc.
