Hadden reminds us that God does speak, even if we don’t always listen. It is rare in scripture that God speaks audibly but He does speak often.
We are challenged to ask what God has said to us this week and how has it affected our behaviour. If our current experience is silence, then we are also encouraged to reach out to hear from God and not settle for an experience ‘at the bottom of the mountain’.
