Join East Coast DNA host Darcy Walsh for a chat with singer/songwriter Chloé Caroline.

Born and raised in Manhattan Beach, California, Chloé Caroline’s music radiates a warm, authentic, SoCal vibe with a subliminal message for people to live their truth and spread their light. Her ultimate goal: for nobody to ever feel alone. After experiencing a life threatening illness at age 11 that left her isolated, she taught herself guitar on YouTube using songwriting as her outlet, and friend. Her sound is an intentional combination of real and synthetic instruments with nods to the past and present. This along with her bubbly personality and being a self-proclaimed “floater” seem to attract those from all walks of life. Critics say she is both an old soul yet ahead of her time.
Immersed in sound from birth, Chloé’s father, a musician and film maker, filled their house with a variety of eclectic sounds from Fleetwood Mac, Carole King, and the The Rolling Stones to Frank Sinatra, Amy Winehouse, Dolly Parton and New Radicals. A gypsy in spirit Chloé has been writing in journals as long as she can remember, her lyrics intimately personal but based on universal experiences that people can relate to. A prolific writer since age 6, Chloé combines the vocal influences of Stevie Nicks/Ellie Goulding/Avril Lavigne with the pop, writing and production sensibility of Harry Styles and Shawn Mendes, both who have some organic melting-pot roots in the pop space.

Her creative talents go beyond music and include the 16+ music videos she has created and filmed and a podcast she co-hosts called “Unwritten” that gives an unedited platform for self submitted and nominated guests to share their stories and advice on various topics. While still in college at Belmont University, Chloé became the first independent artist with her music and videos added to Radio Disney, Disney Channel, and Nickelodeon Music.

Shortly after graduating, in 2018 with no prior acting experience, Chloé auditioned and co-starred alongside Kelly Rutherford and Cameron Mathison in Hallmark Channel’s "Love, of Course”. She also wrote and performed the soundtrack and songs for the film. In addition, she has had multiple film/TV placements with her original songs ranging from the end title of Lionsgate’s "The Great Gilly Hopkins” to MTV’s "Catfish”. As an influencer Chloé has organically and independently built a loyal following via social media of over 200k followers that have dubbed themselves the "Chloé Caroline Crew” — even collaborating professionally for music videos, graphic design, branding partnerships and a jewelry line. With over 70+ partnerships ranging from major brands like Corona, Charming Charlie, Toyota and Stella Rosa Wines to niche brands like Moonglow Jewelry, she is adored for her “realness”, positivity and spiritual ethos often touching on manifestation, the power of perspective, and her “nothing is impossible” encouragement.
