Gabriel Minnikin: A Halifax Music Scene Staple

East Coast DNA is excited to welcome Gabriel Minnikin, a Nova Scotia-born artist with a rich history in the Maritime music scene, to the show! In this episode, we explore Gabriel’s early days in the Halifax music scene during the 1990s, his relocation to the UK, and his return to Nova Scotia. We also dive into what attendees can expect at his upcoming album release concert for "Anne Lorraine," and we’re excited to see more live performances and hear new music from Gabriel in the future.

Gabriel is no stranger to collaboration. Over the years, he has worked with acclaimed artists like Matt Andersen, Terra Spencer, and Cameron Nickerson. His talent as a multi-instrumentalist has seen him perform with iconic acts such as Blue Rodeo, Bahamas, and Grammy Award-winner Gordie Sampson. With five albums under his belt—including Sweet Nothings, which earned nominations for two Nova Scotia Music Awards—Gabriel Minnikin is gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated sixth album, "Anne Lorraine," produced by Dan Ledwell.

Mark your calendars for Gabriel’s concert on Saturday, October 26 at The Peggy Corkum Music Room (Lady Hammond Rd, Halifax). It’s an intimate early evening show, with doors at 6:30 p.m. and music starting at 7:30 p.m. Advance tickets are available directly from Gabriel at fgmcorp@outlook.com.
