Description

Mia Kelly joins East Coast DNA for a chat about her new singles, album, how she got to this point and where she is headed next.

The episode opens with a clip from the recent 'français' single release "Rideau tombe" and plays out with "Lone Dog", two new songs from her forthcoming sophomore album, To Be Clear, due October 4th.

“This double single outlines abusive characters, partially fictional and also inspired by lived experience,” shares Mia. “They depict violent and manipulative patterns that often show up in abusive situations. The songs were born from the aftermath of a difficult situation that unfurled around me.”

She recently wowed audiences at the Mariposa Folk Festival and Ottawa Bluesfest, joined The Franklin Electric on stage at Festival d'été de Québec, and is currently test-driving all her new music in BC. Mia has an amazing tour coming up this fall, including a run of dates with the Good Lovelies.
