Mark Godale and his brother Steve are running in their 26th straight Boston Marathon. (Today, April 15th is raceday) But that feat is just a small part of what Mark has been able to accomplish in marathons and beyond. His Ultra marathon resume is extensive. He held the USA record for distance covered in 24 hours for a long time...162.4 miles. He was 3rd in the world. He has raced all over the states and beyond, including the famed Spartathlon in Greece. He clearly was a trailblazer in the NEOhio scene and although he has a knee injury to deal with, still get his miles in. We talked about the ultra scene in the early years vs todays more crowded scene with lotteries, etc. His fuel for distances and more.
